Multi-Arrival Depth Migration for Steep Dip and Complex Structures

Although an efficient and practical tool for imaging problems, Kirchhoff PSDM suffers in areas of complicated geology where imaging of several arrivals may be required. Wave equation methods image these multi-arrival events but have problems in areas of steep dip. Beam migration provides an effective alternative combining the steep dip benefits of Kirchhoff and the multi-arrival imaging of wave equation.
